| A support group for parents of allergic children, F.E.A.S.T. meets monthly at the Memorial Library of Radnor Township and shares information via email between meetings. Topics of discussion include dealing with allergies in schools, sharing recipes and product suggestions, allergy testing, and handling different situations including restaurants, parties, etc. Past guest speakers have addressed new medications, alternative therapies, and nutrition. The Main Line Newcomers Club is a social club for women of all ages who life on or near Philadelphia's Main Line. We call ourselves newcomers, but there is no requirement for your length of stay. Some of our members have lived here only a few months, others have lived here for any number of years, and a few have never lived anyplace else. The Club offers a variety of weekly and monthly activities, including cocktail parties at a members’ home, a very active Mothers of Young Children group, “Gallivanters” outings to area attractions, day and evening Book Discussion Groups, Bridge, Foreign language chat group, Tennis, “Wine ‘N Dine” Dinners, Speakers Luncheons, Movie Nights and a Cycling group. PLAN of PA serves families in the greater Philadelphia area.
PLAN of PA helps answer the question asked by many families, "Who will oversee the care of my mentally disabled family member when I am no longer able to do so?" PLAN of PA helps organize a program to provide assistance to the mentally disabled family member when the family is no longer able to, and in many instances, assists the family during the latter's lifetime. |
